Children’s Ministry

An important part of the ministry life of Immanuel is helping children and their families grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Immanuel Kids ministry exists to teach children about God’s great love for them as they study the Bible in an engaging and imaginative way!

Children’s Discipleship

witb-logoDuring the school year, Children’s Discipleship is offered for children in kindergarten through fifth grade at Immanuel Kids Children’s Chapel. Chapel meets at 10:00 a.m. during the first part of the worship service. For the 2016-2017 school year, Immanuel Kids are taking a journey through the bible using the What’s in the Bible curriculum. Through songs and engaging lessons, this study teaches them about God’s word. Children will join the worship service during the Peace in order to have Communion with their families.

Here’s a video preview of the fun our kids are having!

nursery (1)

Our nursery is a kid-friendly space available for infants through preschool-age children. The nursery is staffed with professional childcare workers who love children and will keep them safe and happy while their parents are in the worship service. Kids will have time to play as well as hear stories from the Bible. Some parents pick up their children and bring them back to the worship service for communion. However, childcare is available throughout the entire worship service if you prefer.

Kids third grade through high school also serve during the worship service as acolytes. This is a fantastic way for them to join the worship ministry at an early age, serve others, and learn about the importance of worship in the church. Please contact Karen Zwanzig for more information.

Children’s Ministry volunteers have the opportunity to make an eternal investment in the lives of Immanuel Kids! Serving as a Sunday school teacher, classroom assistant, setup helper, and many other roles is a way to help our kids know more about Jesus Christ and his great love for them. All volunteers must have a background check and be trained in the Immanuel Ministry Safe policy. For more information about volunteering, please contact Melissa Byers.

Please see our Youth ministry page for information concerning activities for our middle school and high schoolers.
